I engage in a lot of different kinds of roleplay, from character devleopment, to adventure, to sexual, to roleplay-lite. Mature themes are totally fine, let's just be on the same page about them. Folks I roleplay with need to be 21+, but happy to chat casually with younger folks. Walk-Up/Tells are welcome! If I have the RP Tag on, it means I'm generally assuming all interactions are in-character unless you let me know otherwise!

Mutual respect is the cornerstone of interactions. Regardless of what happens in-character (and, hey, conflict is fun and juicy!) let's make sure we're on the same page ooc. If something isn't fun, let's communicate. If we need to pivot away from a topic, let's communicate. The characters are paper dolls, but the people behind them are real.

ic=/=ooc. I'm not my character, and those relationships made in-character don't translate to out-of-character relationships. I love chatting with folks ooc and making online friends, but let's keep perspective. Yrdane as a character is very flirtatious (with a very active libido), but that doesn't necessarily mean I want to have those same interactions out-of-character.

I write and perform theatrical shows as part of Wondrous Taletreader, performing in theaters and venues across the North American Data Centers. Each show combines dance, magic, costume changes, and storytelling set to music. These shows have in-character and out-of-character components, so are suitable for both immersive rp environments and rp-lite dance venues. My shows utilize purely vanilla game systems with a web-based music player and thus can be enjoyed by pc and console players equally! IThere are plenty of other types of content in ffxiv that I enjoy in addition to roleplaying and performance! I clear savage tiers on-patch, enjoy treasure hunting, hunt trains, fates, farming old primals for mounts/glam. I also enjoy Blue Mage content and do my challenge log every week! I'm always happy to take friends with me on these adventures, so please reach out!

  PERSONALITY    yrdane taletreader is the consummate troubadour, gregarious effervescent. he's gifted with a bard's tongue, often speaking with eloquence and humor. he has a romantic's heart, but his tales of tragedy and love long lost belie his own personal heartbreak, one that is buried deep.

  FEATURES  emerald carbuncle ears naturally protrude from the crown of his head. touching them reveals that they're constructs made of semi-solid, multi-elemental aether. highlander tattoos mark the left side of his face and neck in white. the man is fairly hirsute, his body covered in dark red hair. his personal aether is constantly shifting, lacking the static nature of other living beings.

  changeling  While he was born in Gyr Abania, Yrdane has very few memories of his childhood. By his account, at an early age, he stumbled into a strange realm that began a long, winding adventure into manhood. This experience left him much changed and permanently marked, including the odd aetheric blue-green ears on top of his head. Anyone with knowledge of fae realms or creatures may know more about his condition.  adventurer  Returning to Eorzea did not abate his wandering nature and Yrdane travels the breadth of the star for work and pleasure. He is an adventurer into hidden places, uncovering lost magicks or treasures to retrieve them for study. With expeditions that led him to the heights of the Sea of Clouds, the ruins of Dalmasca, and the wilds of Tural he's made many contacts with other adventurers along the way.  taletreader  Storytelling is perhaps his greatest passion. Wondrous Taletreader performs in theaters across the star, delighting and dazzling audiences with music and magic. He also records his adventures in a tome, crafting them into songs or stories to publish in periodicals in Sharlayan, Kugane, and Eorzea. Wondrous Taletreader is available to be booked for theaters, bars, and other venues for any proprietor looking to put on a show for their customers.
